Rowland welcomed members to our 28th meeting and later introduced our guests Claire Corry the Patient & Public Lead for ASWCS and James Ellis (Jim) Jones the current chair of the ASWCS User Group.

Macmillan Cancer Support sent us a copy of the Autumn 2008 exchange newsletter.
Bowel Cancer UK sent us an e-mail about their Christmas Cards.
Patient View sent us an e-mail via our web site on behalf of a London based research company Opinion Health inviting members to participate in Opinion Health panels. It was suggested that this would be a way for members to add to our funds as participants are paid for surveys that they complete.
Luscious Lids sent us an e-mail via our web site about stylish headwear for ladies experiencing hair loss.
Video Jug Videos sent us an e-mail via our web site about free Internet access to videos relating to colorectal cancer. They offered to enable a link from our web site to allow free viewing of their videos. I have looked at several of them all were from oncologists and surgeons in the United States. I found them informative as they dealt with the latest approaches to dealing with CRC. I need to check the small print before agreeing to the link.
St Margaret’s Hospice sent us a letter of thanks for the £14 donation raised at our October meeting.

Stan reported that the design of a new logo and poster was proceeding and he hoped proposals would be available for our next meeting.
