How do we support our services
£7 million a year are needed for Taunton & Yeovil
Daily outgoings of approximately £25,000
The PCT provides 19% of the funding the remaining 81% is provided by local people via:-
£170,000 from Lottery in 2008, weekly prizes of £1000 and £500 (8,500 members)
£714,790 profit from the St Margaret’s Shops all items donated
£30,000 from Charity walk 2009
£20,000 from Tea at 3 2009
£20,000 approximately from Night Strider walk by 300 ladies 2009
Community support majority of income is from local community via a variety of events, sponsorship, donations in appreciation of service and legacies.

Voluntary Staff
St Margaret’s could not operate without the support of its unpaid volunteers who work in all areas of the hospice services and shops throughout the district. Please contact the Volunteer Coordinator if you wish to help.

Refreshment Break
Stan & Hazel ran a raffle of member donated prizes during the break that raised £22 for our Raffle Fund.
Refreshment donations of £12.70 were passed on to St Margaret’s by Rowland.
Open Forum
We ran out of time so the Open Forum part of the meeting did not take place.

Any Other Business
Raffle Fund Balance
The balance of our raffle fund was £116.72 and with the addition of  today’s £22 rises to £138.72.
Annual Dinner
We need to start looking into arrangements for our Annual Dinner in March 2010. Suggested venues were the Crown Hotel, Sherborne; The Walnut Tree and return to last year’s venue Mulberrys, Yeovil.
