Second Meeting
The second meeting at St Margaret’s Hospice, Yeovil on Friday 8th September, 2006 discussed feedback from the first meeting and agreed the following key points:-

• We would be a stand alone local group
• We would be known as Yeovil District Bowel Cancer Support Group
• Meetings would be bi-monthly (now monthly on 3rd Friday)
• Fund raising was not a key issue at present
• Membership would be on a subscription free basis; we have the use of St Margaret’s Hospice, Yeovil for our meetings free of charge for which we are deeply grateful. Cost of refreshments at the meetings will be met by voluntary donations from those attending with any surplus going to the Hospice as a contribution for use of the room.
• A contact tree for telephone support would be established
• Speakers would be invited to some meetings to talk on topics selected by members of the group
• The development web site content was reviewed and received general approval and members with access to the Internet were requested to provide feed back.
