Tips
These pages are for tips that might be useful in dealing with the daily issues that can be frustrating until you find out how others have dealt with them. If you have found a way of resolving a concern then please share it with others.
Clothes Peg
Very useful to hold your shirt up when dealing with pouch draining or changing when out and about and it is too cold to strip off! Motor Racing circuits are typical with draughty unheated toilets with wet and muddy floors.
Piece of String
Have you found the seat on Disabled Toilets will not stay up as it hits the back rest? Well, the piece of string you carry in your Stoma Care Pack will solve this problem for you; simply loop it through the seat and tie it round the seat back.
Stoma Care Pack
The National Trust sell a multiple pocket shoulder bag that makes a perfect travelling companion with adequate space for spare pouches, wipes, adhesive remover, limone freshener, stoma and hand cleansing gel, nappy sacks, bin liner, etc. Plus of course a piece of string and a clothes peg. A pair of scissors, surgical tape, safety pin and a RADAR key for Disabled Toilets can also be very useful.
