An award winning book the last chapter ‘An Average Rock Bun’ recounts Alan’s diagnosis of bowel cancer in 1997 and his subsequent treatment. He had his bowel operation at St Mark’s the hospital that later gained Consultant Robin Kennedy from YDH. The book contains an assortment of stories that you will find hard to put down.
